prof. dr.Janez Stare
Redni profesor
Dr Janez Stare is a full professor of public sector organisation at the Faculty of Public Administration, University of Ljubljana. After completing his Bachelor's and Master's studies at the Faculty of Organisational Sciences at the University of Maribor, he received his PhD from the Faculty of Administration in 2005 with a dissertation entitled "The relationship between personality potential for leadership and leadership performance in state administration bodies". He received his professional and academic training at renowned institutions abroad (e.g. University of Speyer, University of Liverpool and Glasgow Caledonian University). He has been a lecturer at all three levels of study in Leadership, Human Resource Management and Administrative Operations. He is a researcher under the Digital Transformation for Smart Public Management research programme (2022-2027). He participates in various expert panels dealing with the development of public administration, rationalisation of administration and human resource management. He places great emphasis on the integration of theory and practise and frequently shares his knowledge and experience in various training and consultancy activities. He was a member and President of the Officials Council and Dean of the Faculty of Public Administration for several years (2013-2021). He is currently Head of the Department of Organisation and Informatics at the Faculty of Administration, University of Ljubljana.
